Holistic Therapies and Approach

Holistic means incorporating the concept of holism, or the idea that the whole is more than merely the sum of its parts, in theory or practice.

Holistic therapies are characterised by the treatment of the whole person, taking into account mental and social factors, rather than just the physical symptoms of a disease.

Our emotions and mental state can have a significant impact on our physical health. For example it is likely that at some point in our lives we have all felt the strain and discomfort that negative stress can cause both mentally and physically. Sarah believes that treating the clients’ emotional state alongside the physical really enhances the treatment and encourages greater and longer lasting results.

When our mind, body and spirit are in harmony we feel balanced and relaxed yet alive and energised and invariably more confident and able to handle life’s many challenges.

Whatever age or gender, holistic therapy brings benefits to all but especially those who suffer from stress and neurological conditions or physical conditions such as back and neck pain, sports injuries, frozen shoulder, tennis and golfers elbow, muscle tension, headaches, IBS and the more systemic conditions such as Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid arthritis and cancer.

There are several therapies that use a holistic approach including Clinical massage, Bach Flower Remedies, Aromatherapy and Hot Stone Fusion all of which are treatments offered by Nature’s Assistance.
