Bach Flower Remedies

Bachflower Bottles

A unique system of natural medicine discovered by Dr Edward Bach that is aimed solely at the emotional and mental state of the individual.

“Wonderful as it may seem, relieve your patient of the mood or moods such as are given in this system of healing, and your patient is better” Dr Edward Bach 1936

Dr Bach was an eminent physician whose medical experience and expertise was highly regarded. He was greatly involved with immunology and homoeopathy, but his work concluded with the discovery of 38 flower remedies, each one for a different mood, emotion or personality type. Their action is gently to restore the balance between mind, body and spirit by helping the sufferer overcome negative attitudes such as worry, hopelessness, irritability and so on, all of which hinder recovery and may be regarded as the true cause of ill health.

The Remedies used in this method of treatment are all prepared from the flowers of wild plants, bushes or trees. None of them is harmful or habit forming. They are prescribed not directly for the physical complaint, but rather according to the sufferer’s state of mind, according to his moods or fear, worry or anger or depression.

It is emphasised throughout the Bach Remedy literature that the treatment is based on personality and so whatever the problem might be the remedies should be selected according to the emotional outlook, the mood, temperament and personality of the individual concerned.

Dr Bach strongly believed that physical ill-health was a result of a disequilibrium within our minds and that it was therefore of utmost importance to treat the mind in order to bring about healing of the sick body.

Sarah has trained in the use and selection of the Bach Flower Remedies and will be more than happy to discuss the system with clients so that they can be in a position to understand and select their own remedies.
